Sorano - lantern-shaped alabaster table lamp

Alabaster table lamp, length 26 cm

A pale stone shade surrounded by a dark, irregular frame resembles a small lantern. Sorano shows a clear contrast between milky alabaster and the raw surface of bronze, which gives the form a strong outline. At 28 cm high, you can place it close by on a table beside the sofa and admire the stone’s pattern with the light both off and on.

Why choose this lamp

• Alabaster conceals the light source and, when illuminated, reveals a network of lighter veins and irregular patches.
• Dimensions of 26 cm in length, 19 cm in width and 28 cm in height let you plan a spot on a sideboard or table without choosing a large light fitting.
• With the integrated LED module, there is no need to find a separate bulb or match its shape to the shade.

Design and materials

The sand-cast bronze frame has a black finish and a distinctly uneven texture, particularly visible on the side supports. Its outline widens towards the bottom and is topped by a gently curved bar extending beyond the sides. Inside stands an alabaster shade with a rounded top and milky-white and cream areas of stone. The dark, round base provides a quiet visual anchor, while the open space around the shade makes it easy to see the difference between the smooth alabaster surface and the texture of the metal.

Light and comfort

When switched on, it is the stone itself that changes most: its pattern becomes clearer and its surface takes on a creamy-golden glow. Alabaster diffuses the light passing through it, so you see an illuminated form rather than an exposed point of light. The fitting has a built-in 5 W LED module and runs on 230V. Use it as an additional light beside your relaxation area, complementing the lighting in the rest of the room. Position it on a table so that the stone shade is visible from your armchair or sofa, with no other objects obscuring its pattern.

Where it fits

• A side table beside the sofa - the height of 28 cm lets you view the illuminated stone up close, while the open frame leaves a clear gap around the shade.
• A natural wood sideboard in the living room - milky alabaster and black bronze contrast with the grain without adding another intense colour.
• A bedside table in a minimally furnished bedroom - the compact form can replace a lamp with a wide shade; before choosing, check that the tabletop can accommodate the 26 x 19 cm footprint.

Variants

• Colour: Black and White. This version gives you greater flexibility in matching the model to the tone of your interior.
