Design and materials

Above the globe sits a contoured metal collar, from which a chain with elongated links extends. The suspension is topped by a round ceiling rose, echoing the curved shape of the shade. The construction combines copper and alabaster; the variant names refer to the colour of the metal elements. Each piece has a different natural stone pattern, so the arrangement of veins and tonal gradations will be unique to your light.

Light and comfort

When illuminated, the alabaster reveals variations in the stone’s structure: lighter areas sit alongside more pronounced veins. The shade diffuses light across its surface, creating the effect of a glowing globe. However, the warm tone of the veining does not determine the colour of the light source, so confirm this before purchasing if you want warm light for evening meals. When planning its position above a table, also make sure the shade will not obscure the faces of people sitting opposite one another.
