Panzano - linear chandelier with layers of alabaster discs

Linear alabaster disc chandelier

An elongated form need not be austere: here, its outline is created by overlapping alabaster discs. The Panzano alabaster chandelier runs along the length of the table, revealing layers of stone, delicate veining and softly rounded edges instead of a smooth shade.

Why choose this light

• Alabaster remains decorative even when the light is switched off - its pattern is visible on the pale surfaces of the discs.
• The linear form, with a height of 20 cm, complements the geometry of a rectangular table or kitchen island.
• Choose one of three finishes to match the metal details in your interior: copper, matt black or nickel-coloured.
• Ceiling mounting and a 230V power supply allow you to position the fitting at a ceiling electrical point.

Design and materials

The discs are arranged in staggered rows, with small fixing points highlighting the centre of each one. Milky white gives way in places to cream tones crossed by veining. Each piece of natural alabaster has its own stone pattern, so no two pieces will be identical. Copper is used in the construction; two slender rods connect the layered body to an elongated ceiling rose, leaving plenty of visual space above it.

Light and comfort

Light passing through the alabaster brings out its veining, while the overlapping discs create lighter and darker areas of the shade. The effect is more varied than that of a smooth, evenly glowing shade. The whiteness of the stone does not mean cool light - its colour is determined by the light source used, so confirm the fitting’s colour temperature before purchasing. When hanging it above a table, position it so that the lower edge does not obscure the faces of people sitting opposite.

Where it fits

• A dining room with a rectangular table - the elongated arrangement follows the direction of the tabletop, while the rounded discs soften the geometry of the furniture.
• A kitchen with an island - you can position the fitting along the worktop, pairing pale alabaster with wooden cabinet fronts and ceramics.
• A living room with simple furniture and light-coloured fabrics - the layered form introduces a distinctive detail without adding another strong colour.

Variants

• Size: H. 20 cm; Colour: Copper and White. This configuration changes the look of the fitting in a subtle but noticeable way.
• Size: H. 20 cm; Colour: Matt Black and White. This configuration helps you integrate the fitting more precisely into an existing design.
• Size: H. 20 cm; Colour: Nickel and White. This version gives you greater flexibility in matching the model to the tone of your interior.
