What are crystal lamps?

Crystal lamps are fittings in which light passes through cut crystals. Each facet refracts and splits the light, creating reflections around the lamp. The lamp itself sparkles even with low-power bulbs. Most take the form of a chandelier.

In our collection, crystals are combined with stainless steel or metal fittings in gold, nickel, silver or black. Some models have smoked or pink crystals.

Fitting and crystal colour

The same chandelier shape looks quite different in gold and black. Match the fitting and crystal colour to metals already in your interior: handles, frames and furniture legs.

What to look for when choosing

  • Number of light points: more points create more reflections and more even light.
  • Bulb type: clear bulbs create more sparkle than frosted ones.
  • Diameter and height: a large ring needs space above and below it.
  • Fitting colour: match it to other metals in the room.

How to choose a crystal chandelier

Start with the room size and ceiling height. A ring suits a dining table or living room, a cascade suits a tall hall or stairwell, and a flat semi-flush chandelier suits a lower room.

Living room

A ring or round chandelier above the seating area as the main, sparkling light.

Dining room

A chandelier centred over the table, about 30 cm narrower than the top, or a linear arrangement.

Hall and stairs

A crystal cascade or multi-level ring fills a tall space.

Bedroom

A smaller, flat semi-flush chandelier. Smoked crystals create a quieter effect.

Rules of thumb in numbers

  • × 10Chandelier diameter in cm: room length plus width in metres, multiplied by 10.
  • 30 cmHow much narrower than the table top a chandelier should be.
  • 75-90 cmFrom the table top to the bottom of the chandelier.
  • 210 cmMinimum clearance below the chandelier in walkways.

Crystal, Venice glass or alabaster?

Each material interacts with light differently.

Crystal
Cut facets refract light and split it into reflections. The most sparkle and the most festive effect.
Venice glass
Glass with an electroplated metal layer. Colour and sheen instead of sparkles. Venice collection
Alabaster
Natural stone that glows through the whole shade with soft, warm light, without sparkles. Alabaster lamps

Which bulbs for a crystal chandelier?

Our crystal chandeliers most often use small E12 or E14 bulbs. Clear LED bulbs create more sparkle than frosted ones. Warm 2700-3000 K light complements a gold fitting; neutral light suits nickel and chrome better. The socket is listed on the product page.

How to clean crystals

  • Switch off the lamp and let it cool.
  • Wipe the crystals with a dry microfibre cloth or cotton gloves.
  • For heavier dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not spray the fitting.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners that scratch the cut surfaces.

Custom chandeliers and support for architects

To order, we can change the fitting size and colour; the lead time is agreed with the quote. Architects, designers and hotels can access partner prices, a PDF catalogue and showroom meetings in Warsaw and Kraków.

Questions about crystal lamps

How much does a crystal chandelier cost?

Crystal chandeliers start from 124,56 €. Half the models start below 1.490 €; large, multi-level arrangements cost more. Prices as of October 2026.

How do I choose the size of a crystal chandelier?

Add the room length and width in metres and multiply by 10 for an approximate diameter in centimetres. Above a table, the chandelier should be about 30 cm narrower than the top.

How high should a crystal chandelier hang?

Above a table, the bottom usually hangs 75-90 cm above the top. In walkways, leave at least about 210 cm above the floor.

Which bulbs should I use in a crystal chandelier?

Most often small E12 or E14 bulbs. Clear LED bulbs create more sparkle than frosted ones. The socket is listed on the product page.

How do I clean a crystal chandelier?

Switch off the lamp and let it cool. Wipe the crystals with a dry microfibre cloth, or a slightly water-dampened cloth for heavier dirt. Do not spray cleaners on the fitting.

Does a crystal chandelier suit a modern interior?
