Alabaster globe chandelier

The alabaster globes do not form an even row here: some rise above the slender bar, others sit below it, and another sits alongside the vertical arm. The Salamanca alabaster chandelier takes its shape from this offset rhythm and the contrast between round shades and a straight metal structure. The elongated composition looks good from the side, so consider placing it above a table where it will remain visible from different angles.

Design and materials

The metal bar has a visually slim profile, and its vertical end breaks up the horizontal arrangement. Against this pared-back frame, the white spherical shades stand out, despite their asymmetrical placement. Up close, you can see the irregular pattern of the alabaster and the tonal transitions in the stone; each piece has its own veining pattern. Choose a copper-coloured or black frame to highlight warm tones in the surrounding space or create a stronger contrast with the white globes.

Light and comfort

Light passing through the alabaster is diffused, while the stone’s pattern remains part of the effect when the light is switched on. However, white shades do not mean cool-coloured light: you choose the light colour when selecting the replaceable light sources. For evening meals, choose compatible light sources with a warm light colour and keep the colour consistent across all lights. When buying, also pay attention to the light output, as the number of globes alone does not determine how bright the room will be.
