Pitigliano - alabaster wall light with spherical finial

Alabaster wall light, backplate ø: 14 cm

The rounded shade and small metal sphere above it create a distinct outline, but it is the illuminated alabaster that gives this fitting depth. Pitigliano is 25 cm tall, and its details are best appreciated up close: the veining of the pale stone, the brushed metal surface and the contrast between them.

Why choose this light

• Alabaster softens the light passing through it, while the natural pattern of the stone becomes part of the illuminated surface.
• At 25 cm tall, the fitting is easy to incorporate into a wall arrangement beside a bed, sofa or sideboard.
• The replaceable light source allows you to replace a spent bulb without replacing the entire light.

Design and materials

The shade has an elongated form, rounded at the top and finished with a straight lower edge. A short arm connects it to a round backplate on the wall, while a metal sphere crowns the design. The brushed stainless steel has a warm tone reminiscent of aged metal, contrasting clearly with the white alabaster. Streaks and veins vary from piece to piece, so even two fittings mounted side by side will not have identical patterns.

Light and comfort

Diffused light passes through the stone, revealing variations in its structure. Whether the lighting feels warm or cool depends on the chosen light source, not simply on the white colour of the shade. For relaxing in the evening, choose a compatible warm-white light source. When planning installation beside a sofa or bed, check the light’s position while seated and choose a height that prevents you from looking directly at the light source.

Where it works

• Bedroom, beside the bed - wall mounting keeps the bedside table clear, while the pale stone pairs well with a fabric headboard.
• Living room, beside the sofa - the 25 cm tall fitting brings light from the side into the seating area without taking up space on a table.
• Dining room, above a sideboard - the white alabaster and warm metal tone work well with wooden furniture and pale chair upholstery.

Variants

• Colour: White. This configuration helps you fit the light more precisely into an existing design.
