Alabaster disc chandelier

The stone discs are arranged like scales, partially overlapping and surrounding the light in several rows. The Greve alabaster chandelier has a round, layered form that combines a regular arrangement of discs with the organic patterns of natural stone. When the light is switched on, these variations in its structure become particularly visible.

Design and materials

The copper structure defines the light fitting’s circular outline, while the visible rings frame the alabaster discs. A small metal fixing sits at the centre of each disc, standing out against the pale background. Streaks and subtle tonal variations run through the milky white stone, distinguishing it from uniformly coloured glass. The staggered rows give the form depth, particularly when viewed from the side.

Light and comfort

Light passing through the alabaster highlights its veining, while the areas where the discs overlap create a gentle rhythm of lighter and darker patches. The white stone does not mean the light will be cool in colour - whether the tone is warm or cool depends on the light source. For evening meals and relaxation, choose a warm colour temperature, bearing in mind that this is separate from the softness of the diffused light.
