Write to usEsta - modern alabaster wall sconce, chrome and white, Ø20 × 20 cm
Looking for a light that won’t dominate the decor but will subtly emphasize the character of the room? Esta combines natural alabaster with elegant chrome, creating a soft, diffused glow and an architectural accent on the wall. It’s a discreet, modern detail that warms the space and visually organizes it.
Why this lamp?
- Natural alabaster → gently diffuses light, creating a cozy, atmospheric effect without glare.
- Compact form (Ø20 × 20 cm, depth 14 cm) → ideal for corridors and narrow passages - it doesn’t “take up” space.
- Chrome + white alabaster → easily pairs with modern interiors, steel, glass and light wood.
- G9 → easy bulb replacement and free choice of color temperature (warm/neutral) to suit the room’s function.
- Durable materials (metal and stone) → timeless look and long-lasting use.
Design and materials
Esta has a balanced, clean geometry. A white, gently shaped alabaster “bowl” is set in a round metal frame with a chrome finish. This graphic ring organizes the form, and the natural veining of the stone visually warms the whole. The photos show characteristic, semi-transparent alabaster veining - thanks to it the light is not flat: it passes through the stone, highlighting its texture and adding depth to the interior.
The proportions are compact and balanced: a 20 cm diameter and 20 cm height create a harmonious, coherent detail. The 14 cm depth makes the sconce subtly “stand off” the wall, leaving a comfortable clearance even in narrow hallways and at passageways. The chrome rim introduces lightness and a modern sheen - it pairs nicely with other metal elements in the interior (handles, trims, mirror frames).
Light and comfort
Alabaster is a natural diffuser - instead of a pointy, harsh beam you get a soft, pleasant glow. The sconce doesn’t glare and builds mood and an ambient background layer of light that is key to evening comfort. Thanks to the G9 base you can choose a light source suited to the scene:
- warmer color (e.g. 2700-3000 K) promotes relaxation in the living room or bedroom,
- neutral (e.g. 3000-4000 K) works well in corridors and circulation areas.
Light passing through the alabaster evenly avoids direct glare, so it’s great as supplementary lighting - for illuminating artwork, enlivening a wall with a console, or creating a pleasant atmosphere in a seating area.
Where it fits
- Living room: hang two sconces either side of the sofa or sideboard - the chrome adds elegance and the alabaster warms the arrangement.
- Bedroom: placed on both sides of the bed, Esta provides atmospheric light for reading and relaxing (mounted to a wall switch).
- Corridor/hall: with a 14 cm depth the sconce doesn’t intrude into the traffic route; the series of lamps visually organizes a long wall.
- Dining room/office: as an accent above a console or either side of a mirror/picture - it creates an elegant, diffused backdrop.
A good reference point is installation at adult eye level - this way the light best “reads” the wall texture and creates an even pattern in the room.

Selection tips
- Planning corridor lighting? Pay attention to the 14 cm depth - it’s a comfortable value for narrow passages and halls.
- In relaxation areas choose a warmer color temperature, and in circulation zones choose neutral; with the G9 base you can do this by selecting the bulb.
- Install sconces in pairs or rhythmically - symmetry beside furniture, a picture or mirror organizes the space and adds elegance.
- Match metals: Esta’s chrome pairs well with chrome faucets, stainless steel, mirrors and cool-toned accessories.
Want to introduce a soft stone glow into your interior in a modern, orderly form? Choose Esta in the “Chrome and White” variant, size Ø20 × 20 cm, and see how a single fixture can transform the atmosphere of your wall.
