Alabaster Wall Light, Height 28 cm

Alabaster is rarely found in a wall light. Here the stone sets the tone for the whole form, and the copper base simply complements it. The whole fitting is 28 cm high and hangs where you need light - no wall chasing required, just a plug. This is a fitting for interiors where the material is meant to remain visible even after dark.

Alabaster has a pattern that cannot be replicated, so your piece will be unique.
A height of 28 cm is a scale that does not overwhelm a bed or sofa, yet provides genuine side light.

Design and materials

The form is pared back: alabaster and copper meet in one calm shape without unnecessary ornament. In the brushed version, the copper diffuses light at the edges instead of reflecting it like a mirror. The illuminated part of the shade lets light pass through the stone, which when lit reveals veins and milky translucence. The pattern changes depending on the viewing angle and time of day. The 28 cm height gives the fitting proportions that look good even on a narrow section of wall.

Light and comfort

Alabaster does not fire a sharp beam - it transmits light and softens it into a gentle glow on the wall. This is almost the opposite of the effect customers fear: instead of a cold spot, you get a warm, diffused pool of light. Choose a warm light colour, ideally around 2700 K, so the stone shows its milky depth. The fitting works well as evening light, a backdrop for conversation or reading, rather than as the only light source in the whole room. 230V power supply, so you can plug it into a standard socket.
