Viseu

Looking for a light that brings a warm, natural glow to the interior and at the same time creates an elegant rhythm on the wall? The Viseu wall sconce combines an alabaster shade with a black, architectural frame, delivering coziness and refinement in any room.

Why this lamp?

Alabaster diffuses light softly and evenly - it builds atmosphere, reduces glare, and subtly emphasizes the wall’s texture.
Vertical stone panels add rhythm and depth - the wall gains a new dimension even when the light is off.
The black-and-white contrast makes matching easy - it works in modern, minimalist, Japandi, and classic interiors.
Universal format Ø 25 cm x 18 cm - bold enough as a solo piece, ideal in a pair or a series.
G9 - you choose the bulb (LED or “Edison”) to match the power and character of the light to the space’s function.

Design and materials

Viseu is a pure architectural detail on the wall. The front is made of vertically arranged alabaster tiles with natural veining - each piece is unique thanks to the stone’s pattern. A black metal body organizes the composition and highlights the warm white of the stone shade. This black-and-white composition is timeless: it adds class to the interior without dominating the rest of the decor.

The proportions are well considered: a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 18 cm create a compact, legible shape. The silhouette is “organized” - the shade’s vertical lines introduce rhythm, while subtly rounded edges visually soften the form. It’s a lamp that looks equally good on a smooth wall as it does against a decorative texture.

Materials work here for effect:
- Alabaster - a genuine stone with natural, semi-translucent veining; it filters the light and warms its character.
- Metal in a black finish - a stable, slim frame that adds architectural precision to the whole.

Light and comfort

Alabaster is the key to mood. Thanks to its semi-transparent structure, the light doesn’t shine as a point source but wraps the space in a soft glow. The effect:
- no harsh shadows or glare,
- a pleasant, ambient level of brightness,
- decorative play of light on the texture of the stone and the wall.

Viseu uses a G9 bulb - you can opt for energy-efficient LED or an “Edison” bulb to achieve exactly the atmosphere you need: warmer for relaxation zones or more neutral for circulation paths. The lamp works with standard wall switches, so operation remains simple and intuitive.

Where it fits

Hallway and corridor: when placed rhythmically every few steps it creates an elegant “run of lights” and guides the eye while not overwhelming the space.
Living room: above a console, on both sides of a bookshelf, or as an accent on a wall with artwork - it will gently illuminate the area and warm evening conversations.
Bedroom: in pairs at the sides of the bed instead of bedside lamps - it saves space on tables and creates a calming atmosphere.
Study or staircase: discreet, even light that organizes the space and adds prestige.

If you’re thinking of several pieces, Viseu will cohesively “lead” the interior - repeated along a corridor, by stairs, or in the living area it gives the arrangement a professional, hotel-like touch.

Variants

Size: ∅ 25 cm x Height 18 cm - a universal format that’s easy to pair or line up without risk of visual overload.

Selection tips

Plan the mounting height so the light sits just above eye level when standing - usually around the upper part of the shoulders to the eyes. This helps avoid glare.
In a corridor, place sconces at equal intervals; at medium light levels, sequences every few steps work well so the light angles gently overlap.
Choose the G9 bulb according to function: warmer light promotes relaxation (living room, bedroom), while more neutral light suits circulation areas or a home office.
Think in pairs or rhythms: two symmetrical sconces (e.g., by the bed, mirror, or console) organize the composition, while a series of several creates a refined, hotel-like character.

Choose Viseu in the black-and-white finish, add it to your cart, and see how a single detail can transform the atmosphere of your interior.
