Todi - square travertine flush ceiling light with a perforated band

Travertine flush ceiling light, length 15 cm

From a distance, a small stone block; up close, rows of holes through which light emerges. Todi is a travertine flush ceiling light with almost cubic proportions, in which the weight of the stone is balanced by perforated detailing. At 15 cm wide and long, it remains a small accent on the ceiling, yet its porous surface is distinctive even during the day.

Why choose this light

• A perforated band in the travertine sides lets light through small holes, creating a rhythmic pattern of light around the lower part of the fitting.
• At just 14 cm high, it brings a stone form into a room with a lower ceiling without hanging far overhead.
• The model mounts directly onto the ceiling indoors and is designed for a 230V power supply.

Design and materials

The sandy-yellow surface has visible pores, small depressions and the irregular pattern of travertine. A square outline defines the form, while slightly rounded corners soften its edges. Three rows of round holes run along the lower part of the sides, their orderly arrangement contrasting with the natural texture of the stone. Glass completes the construction, and a white, rounded element is visible through the open underside, standing out clearly against its rough surroundings.

Light and comfort

The open underside allows light to shine downwards, while the perforated sides release it sideways as small, bright points. The stone does not glow across its entire surface: the contrast between the solid body and the perforated band remains visible. When planning a position above a bed, bear in mind that the bright element inside the fitting is visible from below. The yellow colour of the travertine does not determine the colour of the light itself. If you are looking for cosy evening lighting, Lumiesta offers a free consultation to help you choose.

Where it works

• A hallway with a low ceiling - ceiling mounting and a height of 14 cm help maintain headroom without giving up a distinctive material.
• A bedroom with wood and linen fabrics - the sandy-yellow stone fits well into a natural palette, while the small form does not dominate the furnishings.
• A dressing room - the 15 x 15 cm outline is well proportioned for a smaller interior where fitted storage takes up most of the space.

Variants

• Colour: Yellow travertine.
