About this product

Light passes through alabaster differently than through glass: it diffuses across the pattern of the stone, softly and without harsh shadows. At 120 cm long and 20 cm wide, this is a scale that sits well above a long table, in a tall hallway or in an open living area.

Will this size fit?

Compare the whole arrangement with your table, not just one shade. Small pendants can form a group; a single one lights a smaller area. Check the number of shades in the selected variant and the suspension length in the specifications. Start around 75-90 cm above the tabletop and check sightlines.

Alabaster chandelier 120 cm long

One hundred and twenty centimetres long and only twenty wide - this fitting stretches over the table like a band of light, not like a solid mass. Alabaster enters into a dialogue with brushed metal here: the stone diffuses, the metal orders. This is an alabaster chandelier for interiors where light is meant to be the backdrop for conversation, not its subject.

Why this lamp?

Copper and alabaster are materials of a completely different nature: metal holds the form, stone filters light and gives it warmth.
The 120 x 20 x 65 cm dimensions let you hang the lamp along a long table without blocking the view to the other side of the tabletop.
230V power supply and ceiling mounting mean connection to a standard installation in a flat or house.
Three finishes to choose from: brushed copper, brushed nickel and matt black. You can match the metal to door handles, table legs and window frames instead of buying new accessories to suit the lamp.

Design and materials

The form is elongated and narrow: 120 cm span, 20 cm width, 65 cm height. The fitting therefore draws a line above the tabletop rather than a point above people’s heads, and it is this that determines the character of the whole dining room. Alabaster is visible even when the light is off - the stone has its own pattern of veins showing through the surface, which is why no two pieces look the same. Brushed copper is matt and calm to the touch, without the mirror-like gloss that would break up the light into individual glints.

Light and comfort

Alabaster is not transparent like glass - it lets light through and thickens it, so a soft, even glow comes out of the fitting without harsh patches on the table. That is precisely why a cold office effect is hard to achieve here, even if you choose a light source with a higher colour temperature. For the evening, choose a bulb with a colour of around 2700 K, and if you prefer a brighter, more readable dining room, stop at 3000 K - the difference in mood is clear. When hanging above a table, keep the lower edge of the fitting about 75-85 cm above the tabletop: the light then falls on the place setting, not in the eyes of those seated, and the 120 cm span spreads evenly along the whole length.

Where it fits

Dining room above a long table: the 120 cm length spreads light along the tabletop, and the 20 cm width does not overwhelm the room.
Living room above a seating area with a higher ceiling: the 65 cm height of the fitting needs breathing space above people’s heads.
Hallway or space by a staircase with a higher ceiling: the elongated form fills the void above the passage there, instead of hanging in it for no reason.
Modern interior with a clear decorative accent above the table: alabaster and copper give a warm, matt glow without a crystal sparkle.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What is this fitting made of?

From copper and alabaster. The metal is responsible for the structure and mounting, the stone for diffusing the light.

Will such a long lamp fit above my table?

The 120 cm length and 20 cm width arrange the light along the tabletop, so the fitting works best above a long table. The 65 cm height needs to be taken into account with a lower ceiling, whereas in a hallway with a higher ceiling this dimension is not an obstacle.

What does the connection look like and what is the power supply?

Mounting is ceiling-mounted, and the power supply is 230V, i.e. a standard domestic installation.

Which colour should I choose if I am torn between the variants?

Go by the metal you already have in the room: copper for warm accessories, nickel for cool ones, black for strong contrast. If you are unsure, on receipt you have 40 days for a free return without giving a reason, and before ordering you can make use of a free lighting selection consultation.
