Alabaster wall light, width 12 cm

A small lantern with a stone shade instead of glass - that is the form of Javea. The curved arm and ring give it a classic character, while its slender proportions allow it to fit even on a narrow section of wall. When the light is switched on, the alabaster reveals its veining more clearly.

Design and materials

The cylindrical shade contrasts with the flat, rectangular wall plate. The curved arm and ring above the stone cylinder introduce softer lines, recalling the construction of a traditional lantern. The metal parts are made of copper, while the white alabaster is a shared feature of all three colour versions. The natural stone pattern varies from piece to piece, so even two fittings mounted next to each other will not be identical.

Light and comfort

Light passing through the alabaster brings out the lighter and darker areas of the stone, giving the shade a soft glow. Its white colour does not mean cool light: you choose the light colour when selecting the replaceable light source. For relaxing in the evening, look for a compatible light source with a warm colour temperature of 2700 K, rather than cool white. Beside a bed, plan the mounting height from both a seated and a lying position, so that the shade sits comfortably in relation to the headboard.
