Will this size fit?

Compare the whole arrangement with your table, not just one shade. Small pendants can form a group; a single one lights a smaller area. Check the number of shades in the selected variant and the suspension length in the specifications. Start around 75-90 cm above the tabletop and check sightlines.

Pendant washi paper lamp in a hat shape 50cm

Looking for soft, non-glaring light that will warm the space and add visual lightness? This washi paper lamp combines the natural character of the material with a modern form to create a calm, cozy atmosphere above a table, an island, or in the living room.

Its wide, “hat-like” shape distributes light evenly, and the subtle texture of the paper makes the interior more harmonious and inviting for conversation and relaxation.

Why this lamp?

Soft, diffused light thanks to washi paper - a cozy atmosphere without glare.
Hat shape directs the glow onto the tabletop and surroundings - ideal for dining rooms and kitchens.
Two sizes and two finishes - easily adjust scale and character to the interior.
E27 socket - choose the bulb and light color the way you like.
Wire Color options (white or black) - consistency with interior details.

Design and materials

The washi paper lampshade has a characteristic, lightweight hat line with a gently rolled edge. This profile makes the lamp look slim while effectively shielding the light source, providing pleasant diffusion. The natural, subtly visible texture of the paper creates a soft, timeless effect - in person it appears as a delicate, semi-translucent layer that ‘softens’ the light.

The construction supported by a metal frame gives the form stability and durability while maintaining visual lightness. The color scheme remains clean and modern: White or White+Black. If you want the lamp to blend into a light ceiling, choose White Wire; if you prefer a more pronounced line and a graphic accent - Black Wire.

Two proportions to choose from - Diameter 35cm x Height 20cm and Diameter 50cm x Height 28cm - allow you to match the scale to a table, island, or the room’s size. The smaller diameter creates a subtle pinpoint of light, the larger one a wider, calm “patch” over the central area.

Light and comfort

Washi paper acts like a natural diffuser - gently scattering the beam, minimizing harsh shadows and glare. In practice you get light that’s good for talking, eating, working on a laptop, and relaxing. Thanks to the E27 socket you choose the bulb according to your needs: brighter for work and cooking, moodier for dinner and evening relaxation. The hat shape directs light downwards and to the sides, so the tabletop is evenly illuminated and the ceiling and walls receive a gentle glow that “completes” the atmosphere.

Where does it fit?

Dining room - the 50 cm model above a 4-6-person table creates a cozy island of light; for longer tables consider two 35 cm units in an even rhythm.
Kitchen island - two or three 35 cm shades in a row will emphasize the countertop’s length and provide even task lighting.
Living room - 50 cm as a central point above a coffee table or in the seating area adds softness and visual order.
Bedroom / study - 35 cm as a delicate, non-intrusive general light that doesn’t dominate the space.

Variants - customize the lamp to your space

Variant color
- White - bright, light and universal, will blend into minimalist and Scandinavian arrangements.
- White+Black - a subtle contrast and a more distinct detail line for modern interiors or those with black accents.
Variant Wire Color

Selection tips

For a table 120-160 cm long, 35 cm is usually sufficient; for 160-220 cm choose 50 cm or two 35 cm units.
Above a kitchen island keep an even rhythm: spacing between shades approximately equal to the shade diameter.
Suspension height above the tabletop is usually set at about 70-90 cm - so as not to dazzle or obstruct the view.
If the interior is dominated by black details (handles, frames, trims), choose White+Black and Black Wire for compositional consistency.

Ready for your interior

Choose the size, Variant color and Variant Wire Color and see how the soft light of washi paper changes the home’s atmosphere. Match the lamp to your table, island or living room and enjoy harmonious, non-intrusive lighting every day.
