Compare the whole arrangement with your table, not just one shade. Small pendants can form a group; a single one lights a smaller area. Check the number of shades in the selected variant and the suspension length in the specifications. Start around 75-90 cm above the tabletop and check sightlines.

Brompton - Alabaster pendant lamp, brass finish

Looking for lighting that will evenly illuminate a long table while also accentuating the room’s character? Brompton combines the natural glow of alabaster with the warmth of brass, creating soft, comfortable light and an elegant accent for modern spaces. You get a mature effect - refined but unobtrusive - that easily suits a dining room, living room, or kitchen island.

Why this lamp?

Natural alabaster - gently diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a cozy atmosphere during dinners or conversations at the table.
Brass finish - adds warmth and class, while precise polishing and electroplating increase durability for years to come.
Proportions for modern countertops - the slim form and body length help evenly light the entire surface of a table or island.
Flexibility of light sources - the G9 base supports LED or Edison bulbs, so you can choose brightness and character of light to suit the moment.
Adjustable drop - you can set the suspension height to match ceiling height and user needs.

Design and materials

Brompton is an elegant composition of natural alabaster and brass. In the photos you can see the subtle veining of the stone - each piece of alabaster has its own organic texture that beautifully filters light. The contrast with the brass finish (honey‑gold color) adds nobility to the interior while remaining consistent with modern arrangements.

The slim profile and balanced proportions create a linear, orderly accent above a table or island. White alabaster softens and unifies the light, and the brass details give rhythm to the whole form - so the lamp doesn’t dominate the space, but organizes and warms it.

Light and comfort

Alabaster works as a natural diffuser: it scatters point light sources, making the illumination soft, even and easy on the eyes. In practice this means comfort during long meals, working on a laptop, or evening reading - without harsh contrasts and tiring reflections.

With the G9 base you can choose LED bulbs (energy‑efficient, practical for everyday use) or Edison bulbs (more decorative). If you choose dimmable versions and a compatible dimmer, you can easily change the ambiance: from bright, welcoming light for gatherings to an intimate half‑dark for the evening.

Where it fits

Dining room - over a 6-8‑person table the lamp will direct light evenly along the tabletop, highlighting tableware and the textures of wood or stone.
Kitchen island - soft, diffused light supports tasks and conversations; the slim form doesn’t visually weigh down views to the living room.
Living room - as a central accent over a coffee table or seating area it warms the scheme and adds distinct character.
Study/home office - with neutral bulb power it provides comfortable lighting for work and online meetings.

Practical tip: match the lamp body length to the length of the tabletop so the light covers the usable area, and set the drop height so it doesn’t block the view of people seated opposite.

Selection tips

For tables around 180-220 cm, fixtures about 100-120 cm long usually work well.
Maintain a visual margin from the tabletop edge so the light covers the seating area without “spilling” beyond the table.
Adjust the drop height to the function: lower for ambiance, higher when the table is also used for work and games.
Choose the light color temperature according to the scenario: warmer for dinners and relaxation, more neutral for tasks requiring concentration.

Choose the “Brass and white” variant, adjust the drop height during installation, and see how Brompton transforms the atmosphere of your interior.
