Floor Lamps Made of Natural Stone - Alabaster and Travertine

Floor lamps (standing lamps) are striking arrangement elements that organize space and create cozy light zones in the living room, bedroom or office. At Lumiesta, we offer floor lamps made of natural materials that captivate even when turned off - as stone sculptures. Alabaster floor lamps, when turned on, transform into light totems - stone glowing with warm light from within. Travertine floor lamps are sculptural objects with a raw, porous texture, ideal for wabi-sabi interiors.

Where to Place a Floor Lamp?

A floor lamp works best next to a sofa, a reading armchair or in the corner of a room, where it creates a warm point of light. It can also serve as a natural zone separator in open spaces. Our lamps have heavy, stone bases providing excellent stability - they will not tip over from a light bump. Felt pads protect your floor.

Create a cohesive arrangement by matching a floor lamp with wall sconces or table lamps from the same material collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the best place to put a floor lamp in the living room?+
A floor lamp looks best next to the sofa, reading armchair, or in the corner of the room, where it creates a cozy point of light. Avoid placing it opposite the TV, where it could cause glare. In open spaces, a floor lamp can also serve as a natural zone separator - for example, separating the living area from the dining area.
What is the optimal height of a floor lamp?+
Most floor lamps are 140-180 cm tall. A reading lamp should have a shade at a height of 120-140 cm from the floor so that light falls on the book at the right angle. Decorative lamps can be taller. At Lumiesta we offer alabaster and travertine models of various heights, adapted to different functions.
Are stone floor lamps stable?+
Yes - our floor lamps have heavy, stone bases that provide excellent stability. Alabaster and travertine are materials of considerable mass, so the lamp will not tip over from a light bump. The bases are additionally equipped with felt pads protecting the floor from scratches.
Which interior styles do natural material floor lamps suit?+
Alabaster floor lamps fit perfectly into japandi, boho and organic interiors, where natural materials and warm light are valued. Travertine models perfectly complement raw, wabi-sabi spaces. Regardless of the style, a stone floor lamp always constitutes a striking focal point of the room and attracts guests' attention.
How to move a heavy stone floor lamp?+
Stone floor lamps weigh from 5 to 15 kg. When moving, always grip the lamp by the base - never by the shade or shaft. If the lamp consists of several elements, disassemble it before transport. We deliver our lamps in packaging with separately secured elements, which makes carrying and installation easier on site.
Do Lumiesta floor lamps require a floor outlet?+
No - our floor lamps are powered by a standard cord with a plug for a regular wall outlet. The cord length is usually 180-250 cm, so you can place the lamp at some distance from the outlet. If you care about aesthetics, route the cable along the skirting board or use a decorative cable trunking.
