The compact body of black travertine and the gilded interior form a duo that calms, warms and elegantly organizes the space. It’s a detail that makes a difference without dominating the room.
Athenora is a monolithic, rounded form made of black, matte travertine – a stone with natural porosity and subtle veining. The stone body is slightly tilted, giving it a sculptural character and directing light where you need it. The inside of the shade is finished with gilding (gold leaf), which warms the color and gives the light reflections a noble, “jewel-like” tone.
Combination:
– black travertine (outside) – calm, matte, natural texture,
– golden interior (inside the shade) – soft sheen and warm reflection,
makes the lamp look great both in minimalist settings and in glamour, japandi or modern classic interiors. Metal details emphasize the quality of craftsmanship while maintaining a restrained, timeless aesthetic.
The lamp’s construction favors indirect lighting: the bulb is shielded and directed light reflects off the gilded interior. In practice:
– you reduce glare and reflections,
– you gain an atmospheric glow – ideal for reading before bed, watching a movie, conceptual work or evening winding down,
