Istarna - semi-circular pendant light in alabaster and metal

Design and materials

Istarna is based on a noble contrast: a subtle, semi-circular alabaster shade and a metal fitting with refined details. Alabaster – a natural stone – has delicate veining and a warm, milky tone, making each piece visually unique. The photos show how the stone’s structure gently filters light, emphasizing the softness of the form.

Metal accents organize the form and add character. The White + Gold finish warms the space and introduces a touch of modern glamour, White + Black emphasizes a graphic, designer edge, and White + Chrome highlights freshness and modern clarity in the arrangement. The overall style sits between Art Deco, the “Designer” trend and contemporary simplicity – a lamp that doesn’t age with trends.

Proportions are key here: a 38 cm diameter is a format that doesn’t overwhelm but clearly organizes the area above a table or small table. The 79 cm height gives the piece slenderness, and the semi-circular profile makes the fixture look light even in lower interiors.

Where does it fit?

• Dining room – above a medium-width table as a single, elegant accent that unifies the dining area.
• Kitchen island – singly above the central part of the counter or as the main island light in smaller kitchens.
• Living room – above a coffee table to emphasize the seating area and add soft evening light.
• Study / hall – as a representative light point that creates a first impression and rhythm in the arrangement.

In practice, hang the lamp so that the bottom of the shade is not in the line of sight when seated and does not block the view of conversation partners. Above a table it can hang lower (comfort and mood), in traffic areas – higher (clearance for passing).
