Pompeia is a travertine wall sconce that illuminates the wall with a soft glow and… tells the time. One form, three effects: light, sculptural detail, and a minimalist clock.
Pompeia is light yellow travertine formed into a perfect circle 30 cm in diameter. The photos show subtle veining and porous accents characteristic of the stone – these are responsible for the organic, “warm” perception of the lamp. There is no shade or ornamentation on the front: the stone itself forms the dial, and its pattern takes the lead.
Filigree, branch-inspired hands in a bronze finish are mounted on the plate. There are no indices or numerals – the clock remains minimalist and visually calm, so the lamp doesn’t “shout” on the wall but elegantly complements the composition. The backlighting is hidden behind the stone, creating a luminous halo effect around the circle. The travertine acts as a matte front, and the light emphasizes its texture – surface details become more three-dimensional and the wall gains depth.
Integrated LEDs emit indirect light from behind the stone plate. This way of lighting:
– diffuses the illumination and reduces glare,
– highlights the travertine texture and gently models the wall,
– creates atmosphere – ideal for relaxation, an entryway, or evening background.
The specification offers three color temperatures: warm 3000K, neutral 4000K, and cool 6000K. Warm light accentuates the travertine’s natural color and encourages relaxation; neutral suits circulation areas and work zones, and cool emphasizes a modern character and contrasts with the stone. Control is via a standard wall switch (compatible with 110–240V installations).
The 30 cm circle is a comfortable format – legible as a solo on a narrower wall and proportional as a pair on larger surfaces. Thanks to its neutral, stone tone, Pompeia pairs well with wood, beiges, greys, and black; in modern interiors it breaks the coldness, in classic ones it completes the composition.
