ScriviciLooking for lighting that both warms an interior and adds a distinct architectural line? This wall sconce combines the natural, soft glow of alabaster with a graphic black frame. The result is a timeless accent that emphasizes the character of the space without overpowering it.
Obra Alabaster Globe Wall Sconce is a study in proportions and contrasts. At the core of the composition is a spherical alabaster shade — a stone prized for its natural veining and translucency, which give light softness and depth. Each shade has subtly different patterns, so you gain an authentic, unique detail in the interior.
The globe (Ø 15 cm) is “suspended” in a black metal frame with vertical elements and a rectangular wall base. This restrained, rhythmic construction organizes the form and gives the lamp an architectural character. Finishes are intentionally simplified: matte black metal and white alabaster form a duo that pairs well with light walls, raw concrete, wood, or textured plaster. The overall height of 36 cm provides a clear but not overpowering accent on the wall — visually “elongating” the space and creating a sense of lightness.
Alabaster acts as a natural diffuser: light passes through the stone, becoming soft, even and easy on the eyes. There is no sharp shadow edge or pinpoint glare — instead you get a gentle halo that warms the surroundings. It’s ideal for:
– creating ambiance in the living room,
– evening reading in the bedroom (after selecting a suitable G9 bulb),
– soft illumination of a hallway or stairwell,
– highlighting decor, artwork or a mirror in the entryway.
By choosing a G9 bulb you gain full control over the character of the lighting – from warm, relaxing tones to neutral, more functional light. This makes the lamp suitable both as a discreet accent and as practical zone lighting.
In each of these locations the neutral palette (black + white) makes it easy to combine with other fixtures: you can pair this sconce with metals (nickel, brass), wood or stone — it works as a calm base that unifies the composition.
Choose the “Black and White” variant in size ∅ 15 cm x Height 36 cm, pick a G9 bulb to suit your needs and see how the natural glow of alabaster transforms your space.
