This wall sconce combines the natural, soft glow of alabaster with a graphic black frame. The result is a timeless accent that emphasizes the character of the space without overpowering it.

Why this lamp?

Natural alabaster = soothing light: the stone gently diffuses the beam, reducing glare and creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Striking contrast: black metal and a white shade create an elegant, modern composition.

Compact format: 15 cm diameter and 36 cm height make installation easier in narrow passages, by a mirror, next to a bed or sofa.

Flexible light source: the G9 socket allows choosing an LED or Edison bulb for your preferred color temperature and wattage.

Easy to use: controlled by a standard wall switch, AC 110–240V power supply, for indoor use (IP20).

Design and materials

Obra Alabaster Globe Wall Sconce is a study in proportions and contrasts. At the core of the composition is a spherical alabaster shade — a stone prized for its natural veining and translucency, which give light softness and depth. Each shade has subtly different patterns, so you gain an authentic, unique detail in the interior.

The globe (Ø 15 cm) is «suspended» in a black metal frame with vertical elements and a rectangular wall base. This restrained, rhythmic construction organizes the form and gives the lamp an architectural character. Finishes are intentionally simplified: matte black metal and white alabaster form a duo that pairs well with light walls, raw concrete, wood, or textured plaster. The overall height of 36 cm provides a clear but not overpowering accent on the wall — visually «elongating» the space and creating a sense of lightness.

Light and comfort

Alabaster acts as a natural diffuser: light passes through the stone, becoming soft, even and easy on the eyes. There is no sharp shadow edge or pinpoint glare — instead you get a gentle halo that warms the surroundings. It’s ideal for:
– creating ambiance in the living room,
– evening reading in the bedroom (after selecting a suitable G9 bulb),
– soft illumination of a hallway or stairwell,
– highlighting decor, artwork or a mirror in the entryway.

By choosing a G9 bulb you gain full control over the character of the lighting – from warm, relaxing tones to neutral, more functional light. This makes the lamp suitable both as a discreet accent and as practical zone lighting.

Where it fits

Living room: a pair of sconces on either side of the sofa or sideboard adds rhythm and warmth without dominating the décor.

Bedroom: mounted beside the bed they can replace bedside lamps, freeing up surface space on nightstands.

Hallway and corridor: a sequence of lamps creates an elegant light guide without an «overlit» effect.

Study or work area: as atmospheric side lighting that doesn’t strain the eyes.

By a mirror or artwork: the alabaster glow subtly enhances textures and colors.

In each of these locations the neutral palette (black + white) makes it easy to combine with other fixtures: you can pair this sconce with metals (nickel, brass), wood or stone — it works as a calm base that unifies the composition.

Variants

Size: ∅ 5.9″ x Height 14.2″ (∅ 15 cm x Height 36 cm) – proportions designed to fit narrower wall sections while clearly marking the zone.

Color: Black and white – the black body defines the form, white alabaster brightens the whole and visually warms the wall surface.

Technical specification

Material: Metal, Alabaster.

Dimensions: Diameter 15 cm x Height 36 cm / ∅ 5.9″ x Height 14.2″.

Color: Black.

Shade Finishes: White.

Mounting: Wall (sconce).

Power: AC 230V.

Light source: LED or Edison.

Socket: G9.

Wiring: Hardwired (permanent connection to the installation).

Switch: External wall switch (not included).

Ingress protection / moisture: IP 20 – for indoor use, not waterproof.

Working environment: Indoors.

Certification: CE

Selection tips

Plan the height so the center of the shade sits slightly above the eye level of people standing in the room; typically around 150–160 cm from the floor works well.

In the bedroom, mount the sconce so the lower edge of the shade doesn’t glare into the eyes when seated in bed; set the distance from the headboard edge according to arm reach.

In corridors keep repetition: on longer runs, spacing of about 2–3 meters looks good (adjust depending on the power and color temperature of the G9 bulbs used).

Choose color temperature according to function: warm (approx. 2700–3000K) promotes relaxation and builds atmosphere, neutral (approx. 3500–4000K) works well in circulation areas.

Ready to change the mood of your interior?

Choose the «Black and White» variant in size ∅ 15 cm x Height 36 cm, pick a G9 bulb to suit your needs and see how the natural glow of alabaster transforms your space.

Need modifications or assistance? Write to us, we will help you!

Do you need mood lighting that will accentuate a wall?
