Barga is 95 cm tall, so it is best thought of as a low floor lamp to accompany a sofa or armchair. The white stone contrasts with the antique copper colour, while the decorative details can be appreciated up close when sitting beside it.

Why choose this lamp

At 95 cm tall, the lamp fits into a seating area without a tall stem towering over the furniture.

The alabaster shade reveals the natural pattern of the stone, which becomes more pronounced when the light is switched on.

It plugs into a 230V socket, with no need for a fixed electrical connection in the wall.

Design and materials

The elongated shade has rounded edges and a gently undulating outline that sets it apart from a simple cylinder. Streaks and veins run through the white alabaster in a pattern unique to each piece. A small metal finial at the top and a decorative cup below create a distinct frame around the stone. The copper stem, divided by rings, leads down to a round base with a raised botanical ornament; the antique copper finish highlights this classic detail.

Light and comfort

Light passing through the alabaster diffuses within the stone and brings out its veining. Lighter and darker areas of the shade remain visible rather than merging into a uniformly glowing surface. Soft diffusion does not necessarily mean a warm light colour, however: if you want to avoid a cool tone, confirm the colour temperature of the light source before purchasing. Beside an armchair, position the lamp to one side and assess the shade’s position while seated, especially as the whole lamp measures 95 cm.

Where it fits

Beside a sofa in a classic living room – its low form adds another point of light, while the ornate base complements furniture with moulded details.

By an armchair and a wooden side table – antique copper and the alabaster pattern suit surroundings with natural wood and distinctly woven fabrics.

In the corner of a bedroom furnished with period pieces – the decorative stem echoes their style, while the plug-in connection lets you choose a spot near a socket.

Variants

Colour: Antique Copper and White. This combination changes the appearance of the light in a subtle but noticeable way.

Technical specifications

Model

Barga

Lamp type

Floor lamp

Material

Copper, Alabaster

Colour

Antique Copper and White

Style

Classic, Vintage

Size

Shade diameter: 20 cm; overall height: 95 cm

Light source

Replaceable light source

Bulb cap type

E14

Installation

Plug-in

Voltage

230V

Intended use

Indoors

FAQ

Is this a tall lamp for placing behind an armchair?

Barga is 95 cm tall.
